Welcome to ANEW blog! This plate became a staple favorite in my entire family a little over 20 years ago after a family friend taught me how to make it when she had me over for dinner, and I can not thank her enough for it because it is so simple to make and is delicious.
Let’s get to it…
INGREDIENTS
(Serves 3)
1 package of Turkey Sausage (2 long links or 1 huge link) or sausage links of choice
3 Russet Potatoes 🥔
1/2 lb of fresh green beans
Season salt
Garlic powder
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp water
DIRECTIONS
1.) Slice Turkey Saugage about 1/4 inch thick 2.) Put a 1/4 tsp of the olive oil to season the pan and evenly spread out the Turkey Sausage on medium high, grill both sides and set aside in a bowl. Save the pan and drippings for the next step.3.) Place 1/4 tsp olive oil in the sausage pan. Wash and trim all of the green beans. Use the sausage pan to grill the green beans, don’t dry the green beans, instead after washing them, place directly in the pan to help steam them. Add a very light amount of seasoned salt to sprinkle to flavor. Add a dusting of garlic powder. Stir green beans around add 1 tbsp of water and put a lid on it. Stir occasionally until the green beans are fully steamed and starting to almost wilt but not completely, you want to keep the vitamins in it. After they are done, place them aside in a bowl seperate from the meat. Wash your skillet4.) Thinly slice the 3 potatoes and coat them with 1 1/2 tbsp of olive oil, and add a dusting of garlic powder, and a light sprinkle of season salt. Just enough to flavor. Toss them around and place them evenly in pan or skillet and sauté until a little crisp on both sides.5.) Add green beans, and meat to the potatoes and grill them all together for about 5 more minutes, tossing occasionally. 6.) Put it on a plate, drizzle ranch or eat plain and enjoy!
